The 2012 edition of the Durban Business Fair, promises to be a remarkable build-up towards celebrating 15 years of success in 2013.
The Durban Business Fair has built a strong reputation over the years as the ultimate business exhibition which uniquely brings together various stakeholders within eThekwini, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa and Internationally. It is certainly a premium business gathering for any business seeking to position itself as a trend-setter within its specialization.
“The City’s commitment to the success of the Fair is clearly justified by the number of businesses that have experienced sizable growth through their constant participation in the exhibition”, Mr. Philip Sithole, Head of Business Support, Durban Tourism & Markets, which organizes the Fair. It is a platform created by the City to fast-track business development, and instills entrepreneurial acumen and expertise; in order to produce innovative and successful enterprises that contribute to the overall economic growth of the City and the country at large.
The Business Conference will get underway the Durban Business Week by focusing on opportunities in the transport sector; from rail to port expansion, and infrastructural development by highlighting key property development projects within the City. The re-branded Fair will add depth to the exhibition experience by clustering similar products and services according to their sectors. In addition, structured information sharing sessions will be hosted for the benefit of businesses. These sessions will set the tone for possible procurement opportunities. This new approach is entrenched on the City’s commitment to creating substantial opportunities for businesses to leverage on as the Fair is gaining momentum, greater recognition and more influence.
This year’s Exhibition will be extended by a 4th bonus day, which will feature competitions, entertainment and a special showcase of homegrown products on Heritage Day.
The Durban Business Fair will take place between 18 and 24 September 2012 at the Durban ICC and Exhibition Centre. To register, contact Ikhono Communications on 031 266 9937 ASAP as space is limited.
